Soy Milk

Soy Milk is probably the most widely known milk alternative, most cafes offer this as their sole milk alternative. Reason why? Regular soy milk is thick and creamy and froths up pretty well for a great cappuccino. Soy tastes a little nutty and isn’t overly sweet. We love soy milk in a hot chocolate for something different, it works so well with the cocoa.

Almond Milk

Almond Milk has a nutty smell and taste with a thin consistency. If you’re after a mild taste for your coffee, choose almond milk which is unsweetened, that way it won’t take over the taste of your caffeine hit. Almond milk is a mix of ground whole almonds with filtered water, so that makes it pretty different from almond butter – which is 100% ground almonds.

Oat Milk

Oat milk is a plant milk derived from whole oat grains by extracting the plant material with water. Oat milk has a creamy texture and oatmeal-like flavour and as it uses significantly less water resource than dairy and other plant based-milks, Oat milk is often seen as the eco-friendlier option.

Lactose Free

Lactose Free Milk, is commonly known as cow’s milk which has had the lactose removed from it. What’s lactose? Great question! Lactose is a type of sugar which naturally occurs in dairy products. With the rise in awareness of intolerances, lactose free milk is a great option for those who love the taste of full cream dairy but may struggle when digesting it. Lactose free tastes just like cow’s milk, making it rich in calcium and free from both gluten and lactose.
